More About Me

As a native Oregonian and a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, I am passionate about climate preservation and sustainable living! My free time activities include hiking and exploring our gorgeous Northwest, especially the coast. I’m also an avid gardener, committed to organic gardening practices and gardening with native plants.

I like cooking – and I love baking. As a little kid, I made a chocolate cake that won a 4-H blue ribbon at the county fair! I’m also a lifelong reader with a fondness for historical fiction and good mysteries. My favorite hobbies are thrift store shopping, creating fiber arts with found or reused materials, and watching documentaries, especially about history, art, and nature.

I also love laughing, and I try to have a really good laugh at least once a day. The most important thing in my life is spending time with my family and pets.
